Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. The short version: if you submit a form, your details go to the education providers named at the point of submission, and we may contact you about programs and content.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a matching form we collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, program of interest, intended start timeline, highest education completed, and — if you choose to answer — military or veteran status and US citizenship or permanent residency status.

Information from our email links. If you arrive from one of our emails, the link carries a signed reference that lets us look up details you gave us previously and fill them in for you. The link itself contains no personal information.

Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We also record a certificate of your form interaction through TrustedForm, a third-party service that documents consent.

How we use it

  • To match you with education providers and pass your inquiry to them;
  • To contact you by phone, text and email as described in the consent you gave;
  • To send you ongoing communications about programs, careers, tools, resources and content;
  • To operate, secure and improve the site;
  • To keep records of consent, and to comply with legal obligations.

Your contact information may be used for marketing communications. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can stop text messages by replying STOP.

Who we share it with

When you submit a form, we share the information you provide with the education providers and partners identified at the point of submission. Those providers use it to contact you about their programs, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We may also share information with service providers who operate our systems on our behalf.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.

Under some state privacy laws, sharing your information with education providers in exchange for compensation may be treated as a “sale” or as “sharing” for targeted advertising. See Your choices below.

Third-party tracking

We use analytics and consent-documentation services that may set cookies or similar identifiers, including TrustedForm. These operate under their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you block them.

How long we keep it

We retain lead and consent records for as long as needed to operate the service, evidence consent, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations — generally no less than five years for consent records, given the limitation periods that apply to telephone-consumer claims. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

StudyCreative is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@studycreative.org and we will delete it.

Your choices

Once your details have been passed to an education provider, you will need to contact that provider directly to stop their communications, as they hold your information under their own policy.

State privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

These rights are available to residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA) and Texas (TDPSA), among other states with comparable laws.

To exercise a right, email privacy@studycreative.org with the right you want to exercise and enough detail for us to locate your record. We will verify your identity before acting, and respond within the period the applicable law requires — generally 45 days. You may use an authorised agent where your state allows it. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be signposted on the site.
